What would my first reaction to sickness be? Well, it is pretty silly to deny that there are symptoms of sickness when everyone in the world can see them. I know people who are “sick as a dog” but deny that they are experiencing the symptoms. However, just because something is taking place doesn’t mean that it is right or that I have to remain subject to it. When, not if, I present with symptoms I immediately turn to the Word regarding my rights as a Believer. I begin confronting the lie of the enemy concerning my physical well-being… and that Lie is simply that the work that Jesus performed on my behalf and His promise to me are not enough to overcome the enemies attack. The Word says clearly that Jesus has the right to forgive my sin and to heal me… and furthermore, that if any are sick within the church they have the right to come before the elders and be restored in every facet. This is God’s Word and it is my desire to embrace and believe it. Truthfully, if I believe that He can raise my body from the dead it isn’t too much of a stretch to believe that He can heal it before it ever reaches that place.
